Terms of Service & Medical Coding Disclaimer
Effective date: 2026-07-05
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service, together with the Medical Coding Disclaimer and Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Agreement"), govern your access to and use of the Medical Coding Command web application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, accessing, or using the Service, you ("you," "your," "User") agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
This Agreement is a practical business document and is not a substitute for legal advice. The operator should have qualified counsel review this Agreement before broad commercial distribution.
2. The Service and subscription plans
The Service is a subscription study, organization, note-taking, reference-organization, and workflow tool offered in two plans: Basic and Prime. Each plan grants a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for your own personal, educational, study, workflow, note-taking, or internal business purposes for as long as your subscription is active and in good standing. The Service is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the operator.
Feature availability differs by plan. The operator may adjust the features included in each plan, and will make reasonable effort to give notice of material changes that reduce features you rely on.
3. Billing, renewal, and cancellation
- Pricing. Basic is $3.00 per month and Prime is $6.00 per month unless otherwise stated at checkout. Prices may change; changes apply to future billing periods with reasonable notice.
- Recurring billing. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method through our payment processor.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are generally non-refundable. The operator may, at its discretion, offer discounts, promotions, complimentary access, or refunds from time to time.
- Payment processing. Payments are handled by a third-party processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number. Your use of payment features is also subject to the processor's terms.
- No free trial. The Service does not include an automatic free trial. Promotional or complimentary access, if offered, is granted at the operator's discretion and may be modified or withdrawn.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. Accounts are for an individual user and may not be shared, resold, or transferred without written permission.
5. Restrictions
You may not: (a) sell, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, redistribute, publish, or commercially exploit the Service without written permission; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, unlock, bypass, or tamper with the Service except where such restriction is prohibited by law; (c) remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, proprietary, disclaimer, or legal notice; (d) use the Service to build a competing product based on its design, structure, workflow, templates, layout, or user interface; (e) claim the Service is endorsed, certified, or provided by any medical coding authority, government agency, payer, professional association, or standards organization without written authorization; or (f) use the Service in violation of any applicable law, regulation, payer policy, coding rule, employment requirement, school policy, or professional standard.
6. Medical coding disclaimer
The Service is a study, organization, note-taking, reference-organization, and workflow tool. It is not medical advice, legal advice, billing advice, coding certification, payer authorization, compliance approval, or a substitute for professional judgment.
You are solely responsible for verifying all coding, billing, documentation, compliance, reimbursement, and payer-related decisions against current official sources, applicable laws, payer policies, employer requirements, professional standards, and authoritative coding manuals or guidelines. Coding rules, payer policies, government guidance, reimbursement requirements, and code sets change. The Service may contain user-created notes, templates, reminders, examples, or study material that may become outdated, incomplete, inaccurate, or inapplicable to a specific case. The operator does not guarantee coding accuracy, reimbursement, claim acceptance, exam success, compliance, audit outcomes, employment outcomes, or professional results.
7. No affiliation or endorsement
The Service is independently produced. Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, it is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, approved by, certified by, or officially connected to the American Medical Association (AMA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), any Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC), any commercial payer, any government agency, any coding authority, any educational institution, or any other third-party organization.
CPT® is a registered trademark of the American Medical Association. ICD, HCPCS, CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and other names or code sets may be owned, administered, or controlled by their respective organizations. Any third-party names, abbreviations, references, or terminology are used only for identification, educational context, or user-created reference purposes, and ownership remains with the respective rights holders.
8. Your content and backups
The Service lets you create, store, edit, import, and export notes, chapters, books, guideline tags, reminders, and other content ("User Content"). You own the User Content you create, subject to any third-party rights in materials you add. You grant the operator the limited right to store, process, and display your User Content solely to provide the Service to you. We encourage regular exports of your data. The operator is not responsible for loss of User Content and provides no guarantee of uninterrupted availability or data recovery.
9. Ownership and copyright
The Service, including its interface, workflow, structure, operator-created text, templates, design, code, layout, and compilation, is owned by the operator or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Copyright © 2026 Medical Coding Command. All rights reserved.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Suspension and termination
The operator may suspend or terminate access for violation of this Agreement, non-payment, or misuse. You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, ownership, and limitation of liability) survive.
12. Changes to these terms
The operator may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can be directed to the operator through the contact or suggestion feature within the Service.
